Depending on the configuration, the automatic gearbox can be produced without a 1st gear oil level indicator rod (probe) (see illustration 1.0a). The configuration code is changed.

The gearbox is controlled by a lever with 7 positions - P, R, N, D, 3, 2, 1 - (see illustration 1.0b):
- «R» - parking position;
- «R» - the provision providing a choice of transfer of a backing;
- «N» - neutral position;
- «D» - a position that provides automatic gear selection from all four gears;
- «3» - a position that provides a choice of gears from 1st, 2nd and 3rd;
- «2» - a position that provides a choice of gears only from the 1st and 2nd;
- «7» - a position that ensures the choice of only 1st gear.

The engine can only be started when the gear lever is in position «R» or «N», which prevents accidental movement of the car when trying to start the engine.
With the switch you can select one of three SPORT modes (sport mode: the engine runs at high frequencies, giving faster acceleration and more power), ECO (for driving under normal conditions. the engine runs at a relatively low speed, which allows you to get enough power and save fuel), SNOW (for mud and snow). Fully depressing the gas pedal activates the switch «kick down», and the transmission downshifts to produce high torque for acceleration.
In the event of a malfunction in the automatic transmission, a warning lamp lights up on the instrument panel. In this case, the choice of gears is possible only from two forward and reverse gears, the switching of which is carried out mechanically.
