Attention! The fluid level in the power steering reservoir should be checked regularly.
1. Stop the engine.
2. Disconnect the wire terminal «masses» (-) from the battery.
3. Place a container under the car to collect the hydraulic booster fluid and unscrew the union nuts of the hydraulic booster pipelines. Muffle the pipeline so that dirt does not get into it and take it to the side.
4. Turn the steering wheel several times from side to side from lock to lock. The hydraulic booster cylinder, as a result of the rotation of the steering wheel, will squeeze out the fluid and it will flow out.
5. Connect the pipes and tighten the union nuts.
6. Fill reservoir with power steering fluid. The hydraulic booster uses transmission fluid for automatic transmissions.
7. Turn the steering wheel several times from side to side from lock to lock and add fluid to the reservoir. The engine should still be off.
8. Connect the battery and start the engine. Leave the engine idling and have an assistant turn the steering wheel slowly from side to side until it stops. At the same time, monitor the fluid level in the reservoir and top up if necessary.
9. Stop the engine and check that the fluid level is correct. Otherwise, add or remove liquid.
