Generator — removal and installation (Peugeot Eurovans 806)

When removing the generator, the same steps are performed as after removing the generator drive belt (see relevant chapter). It should only be noted that the tension of the alternator drive belt after its installation must be carried out using a special device that is available only in workshops. You can tighten the alternator belt correctly enough by following these steps.

4. Disconnect the battery.

5. Disconnect the wires from the terminals on the back of the generator.

6. Remove the alternator drive belt (see below).

7. Turn out bolts of fastening of the generator and remove the generator. One alternator mounting bolt is located at the bottom, and the second is at the top.

Installation of the generator is made in an order, the return to removal. It is also recommended to replace the alternator belt, because if you already had a chance to dismantle the generator, then the belt «worked» sufficient time.

8. Install the belt and adjust its tension (see below).
