These glasses are secured by a snug fit of the seal in the opening of the body and are fixed in place with a special adhesive. Replacing fixed panes is a difficult, messy and time consuming job that is not recommended to be done on your own. If you don't have enough experience, it's very difficult to achieve a secure, waterproof fit. In addition, you are at great risk of breaking the glass. This is especially true for the laminated windshield. For this reason, owners are strongly advised to contact glass installers to perform such work.
