1. Wear on the side of the treadmill
Low tire pressure (wear on both sides) Low pressure causes the tire to overheat due to its increased deformation. The tread has poor road holding, which causes additional treadmill slip and wear, not to mention the danger of a sudden tire burst due to overheating.
Check and adjust pressure.
Wrong camber (wear on one side)
Repair or replace suspension components.
Cornering at high speed
Reduce your speed!
2. Wear in the middle of the treadmill
Increased tire pressure
Increased pressure leads to rapid wear of the middle part of the tread, accompanied by a decrease in grip with the road surface, the ride becomes more «tough» and the risk of breaking the cord when the wheel hits an obstacle increases.
Check and adjust pressure.
If you occasionally need to inflate your tires to the higher pressure required to carry heavy loads or to drive at high speed for extended periods, be sure to depressurize afterwards.
3. Uneven wear
The front tires may have uneven wear due to incorrect wheel alignment. Service stations are able to identify and repair this fault.
Incorrect value of the camber of the front wheels and the angle of the longitudinal inclination of the axes of rotation of the wheels
Repair or replace suspension components.
Unbalanced wheel
Perform balancing.
Wheel alignment incorrectly set
Adjust the angles of the front wheels.
Note. The sharp edge of the tread, indicating an incorrectly adjusted toe-in, is easy to detect by touch.
