When using a hydraulic jack or secure supports, be sure to position the head of the jack or the top end of the support under the appropriate jacking location on the bottom rail (see fig.).
Places for installing the jack and supports are indicated by triangles (one of them is marked with an arrow) on the bottom rail
To raise the front of the vehicle, place a jack under the center of the front subframe with a block of wood resting on the head of the jack. Do not place a jack under the oil pan or under any of the steering or suspension components.
To raise the rear of the vehicle, position the jack so that its head is located under the center of the rear axle tube. Do not attempt to raise the vehicle using the jack located under the spare tire as this will damage the floor of the vehicle.
The jack supplied with the vehicle is installed under the special places for jacking provided on the bottom rail. Before lifting the vehicle, make sure the jack head is properly secured.
Never work under or near a raised vehicle unless it is securely supported in at least two places.
