Outside air enters the vehicle through air intakes located outside. To ensure efficient operation of heating and ventilation systems, it is necessary to ensure that the air intake openings are not clogged with snow, leaves and debris. The air passes through the passenger compartment and luggage compartment and is expelled to the outside through the outlets at the rear of the vehicle.
Warning. Clogged outlets can cause the windows to fog up.
Air flow and direction can be adjusted using the heating and ventilation controls and side and center vents (see relevant paragraphs in paragraph 2).
Below is a description of the settings for some of the more common operating modes.
Quick interior warm-up
- Turn the temperature control to the red sector.
- Set blower fan speed control to desired speed.
- Set the air distribution control to one of the following positions:
- A) if the outside temperature is low or more air flow is required to eliminate fogging in the position of supplying all air to the windshield;
- b) for normal heating - in the position of air supply to the face;
- V) for heating the legs while maintaining the cooling of the face - in the position of air supply to the face and in the niches for the legs;
- G) for heating the legs of the front passengers - in the position of air supply to the footwells;
- d) if the outside temperature is cool and causes fogging of the windows, to the position of the air supply to the windshield and to the footwells.
Removal of fogging and / or icing of the windshield and front door windows
- Turn the temperature control to the red sector.
- Set blower fan speed control to maximum speed.
- Set the air distribution control to supply all air to the windshield.
- After defogging, adjust the controls to keep the glass as clear as possible.
Note. If you have an air conditioner, it is recommended to turn it on to speed up the defogging of the windows.
Removing fogging and / or icing of the rear window - Press the heated rear window button (see paragraph 2).
- After the rear window has been defogged, it is recommended to switch off its heating.
Ventilation
- Fully open the center and side vents.
- Turn the temperature control to the blue sector.
- Set the blower fan speed control to the desired speed and to the outdoor air position.
- Set the air distribution control to the face air position. Fast cooling (with air conditioning) - Turn the temperature control to the blue sector.
- Turn on the air conditioner.
- Turn on recirculation mode (in the presence of).
- Set blower fan speed control to desired speed.
- Set the air distribution control to face air.
To decrease the cooling efficiency, move the recirculation switch to the outside air supply position, reduce the fan speed, adjust the temperature control to increase the temperature.
