Pic. 3. Multi-function lever outdoor light switch
The switch has the following positions:
Outside lighting off
Starting position. The outer swivel ring is in the end position.
Marker lights
Rotate the outer rotary ring to the first fixed position. The illumination of the instrument panel also turns on.
Low beam headlights
Rotate the outer swivel ring to the second fixed position. The low beam warning light on the instrument panel will illuminate (see above).
You can set the low beam headlights to turn off with a certain delay. To do this, after switching off the ignition, pull the lever switch towards you. The dipped beam will turn off after about a minute. This function allows, for example, to highlight the way to the house.
High beam headlights
With the outer rotary ring in the second rotary detent position, pull the lever switch towards you. The high beam warning light on the instrument panel will come on (see above).
Note. If the dipped beam or high beam headlights are left on when the driver's door is opened after the ignition is switched off, a warning chime will sound. The signal stops when the headlights are turned off, the driver's door is closed, or the ignition is turned off.
Headlight signaling
To signal the headlights, pull the switch towards you (to the steering wheel). Works even when the ignition is off.
Direction indicators
Move the lever up to turn on the right turn indicators. Move the lever down to turn on the left turn indicators.
When you turn on the direction indicators on the instrument panel, the corresponding control lamp will light up (see above). When centering the steering wheel, the direction indicators (and control lamp) turn off automatically.
Fog lights and rear fog lights
Fog lamps and rear fog lamps are only lit together with position lamps or dipped beam headlamps.
The position of the inner rotary ring in the end position corresponds to the off position.
To turn on the fog lights, turn the inner rotary ring to the first fixed position. The corresponding control lamp will light up on the instrument panel (see above).
To turn on the fog lights and rear fog lights, turn the inner rotary ring to the second detent position. The corresponding control lamp will light up on the instrument panel (see above).
Warning. The rear fog lamps should only be switched on in fog or snow conditions.
