Note. The service schedule provided here is your vehicle's service schedule. For information on the manufacturer's assigned service schedule, contact your dealer.
The service intervals in this manual are based on you, not your dealer, doing the job. Here are the minimum intervals we recommend for everyday vehicles. If you want to keep your vehicle in top condition, you can perform some of these procedures even more frequently. We stand for frequent service. It increases the efficiency of the car, improves its performance and at the same time helps to increase its resale value.
More frequent maintenance is also recommended if the vehicle is driven in a very dusty environment, is used to tow a trailer, or operates in city traffic (low speed and frequent idling) or on short routes.
New vehicle service must be carried out by the authorized dealer's service department. This meets the terms of the factory warranty.
Every 400 km or weekly
- Talk to «weekly checks».
Every 7500 km or 12 months, whichever comes first
- Change engine oil and oil filter (paragraph 3) *.
- Drain the condensate from the fuel filter (paragraph 4).
- Check the engine compartment for leaks and check the condition of the hoses (paragraph 5).
- Check the condition of the rubber covers of the axle shafts (paragraph 6).
- Lubricate all hinges and locks (paragraph 7).
- Carry out a road test (paragraph 8).
- Reset Service Interval Display (paragraph 9).
* Note. On engines 1.9 l (DW-series) Peugeot/Citroen recommends changing the engine oil and oil filter every 75,000 km or 2 years, whichever comes first. However, frequent oil and filter changes are good for the engine. We recommend changing the oil and filter at least once a year, especially if the car is mainly used for short trips.
Every 15,000 km or 2 years, whichever comes first

Note. Although the normal timing belt replacement interval is 130,000 km, it is highly recommended to follow the interval suggested above, especially if the vehicle is used intensively, such as frequent short distance driving or «stop - start». In fact, the change interval depends largely on the individual operation of a particular vehicle, but be aware that a broken belt can cause serious engine damage.

Every 60,000 km or 4 years, whichever comes first
