Warning. Be careful not to allow dirt to enter the fuel filter housing and fuel to spill onto the clutch when performing this procedure.
1. The fuel filter is located in a plastic housing on the front of the engine.
2. If applicable, cover the clutch housing with suitable sheets of plastic to keep the clutch from getting fuel.
3. Remove all traces of dirt from the outside of the filter housing, and then drain the condensate from the fuel filter as described in paragraph 4.
4. Turn out four bolts and remove a cover from the filter case (pic. 19.4).

5. Remove the filter from the housing (pic. 19.5). Make sure that the rubber o-ring comes off with the filter and does not stick to the body/cover.

6. Remove all traces of dirt from the inside of the filter housing, and then, making sure that the O-ring is in place, install a new fuel filter.
7. Apply thread locking compound to the threads of the filter cover bolts, install the cover and bolt it.
8. Prime the fuel system as described in chapter 4B.
