Removing
1. Remove the battery, battery shelf, and base plate as described in chapter 5A. Depending on the model and working space, to facilitate access to the wiring on top of the transmission, remove the air filter and the remaining elements of the intake air line, as described in the appropriate part chapter 4.
2. In the engine compartment, release the end of the cable from the release fork/lever as described in paragraph 2.
3. Inside the vehicle, remove the fuse box cover and lower section of the front panel on the driver's side. Keep in mind that access to the clutch pedal inside the car is still very limited, and it is recommended that you first remove the front panel, although this is quite laborious.
4. Reach for the retaining clip, release it and disconnect the cable from the top edge of the clutch pedal.
5. Disconnect the tip of the return spring of the clutch pedal and unhook the return spring from the pedal.
6. Turn away a nut on an axis of a pedal of coupling and take an axis.
7. Remove the clutch pedal from the support bracket and limit plate. Remove the bushing from the pedal shaft.
8. Check up a condition of a pedal, plugs of an axis and a returnable spring and if necessary replace all elements.
Installation
9. Lubricate the pedal axle with multipurpose grease, then install the pedal on the bracket and insert the axle. Screw on the axle nut, but do not fully tighten it at this stage.
10. Connect the return spring to the pedal.
11. Raise the pedal fully and guide the end of the cable towards the pedal. Secure the rope with a clamp.
12. Connect the inner lug of the clutch cable to the release fork/lever.
13. Turn away a nut and turn out a bolt of fastening of a limiting plate of a pedal to an arm of a pedal.
14. Using a lever, fully raise the limit plate so that there is sufficient play in the pedal.
15. Lower the stop plate until there is 1.0-3.0 mm play in the pedal. Hold the stop plate in this position and tighten the nut and bolt as well as the pedal axle nut.
16. Depress the pedal two or three times and check the operation of the cable and clutch release mechanism.
17. Install the rest of the items removed for access.
